As you enter, you’ll be greeted by a tranquil lakefront with a pine-lined pathway and picturesque pond. Further in, you’ll find the renowned Sohosrodhara and Suptadhara Waterfalls, a tropical tree garden, a wildflower meadow, a fruit garden, and a wildlife area where you may spot deer, monkeys, and various bird species like doyel, sparrows, and wild parrots. Patenga Sea Beach
Patenga has undergone a stunning transformation, becoming a mini-version of Cox’s Bazar. The old and potentially hazardous large rocks have been replaced by safe stairs leading into the water, making it easy for visitors to enjoy the ocean. On the other side of the road, vendors offer a variety of beach-themed items such as seashell jewelry, beach shoes, pickles, and toys. It’s like browsing the stalls at the Burmese Market in Cox’s Bazar. For the best Patenga experience, visit early in the morning or late at night, when the temperature is pleasant and the crowds are minimal. Be sure to try the local favorites: piyaju and fried crab.
