Sir John Wilson School (SJWS) is recognized as one of the top-ranking private, English medium schools in Bangladesh. Founded on August 29, 1995, with just 9 students, the school now serves 1,805 students and employs 167 academic staff members. Currently owned and managed by United Professional Services Ltd, a division of the United Group, SJWS operates from a purpose-built campus at United City, covering an area of 10 bighas.

Named after the late Sir John Wilson, a pioneer in the global fight against disability, the school is committed to delivering quality education. SJWS offers a curriculum based on the UK Edexcel Curriculum, with adaptations to meet local needs in Bangladesh. Additionally, students undertake two subjects from the Cambridge International Exam Board for O Level, with Bangla and Bangladesh Studies being mandatory.

For your reference:

• PLAYGROUP is for children aged 3 years, and NURSERY is for those who turn 4 years old by July of the admission year.
• In classes from PG to KG II, each section typically has a teacher and an assistant teacher, maintaining a teacher-to-student ratio of 10:1 with 20 students per section. From KG II onward, each section accommodates 25 students.
• Once the admission process is complete, accepted students may begin attending classes at the earliest available opportunity.
• The school’s decision regarding admissions is final. The school reserves the right to reject a candidate based on criteria it considers important. Additionally, the school may ask a student to leave for reasons beyond academic performance, including disciplinary issues involving either the student or their parents.
