Bangladesh has won two gold medals in the 22nd International Robot Olympiad. The 19-member Bangladesh Robot Olympiad team also won two silver, five bronze and six technical medals. In the Creative category, Misbah Uddin Inan and Jaima Zahin Wara of Robo Sparkers won gold medals in the Junior Group and Nashitat Zainah Rahman and Kazi Mostahid Labib of the Challenge Group Robotigers won Gold medals in the Robot in Movie category.
In the Robot in Movie category, Mahir Tajwar Chowdhury and Shadidur Rahman Shreyash of the Robo Dreamers team of the Junior Group and Kazi Mostahid Labib and Nashitat Zainah Rahman of the Challenge Group of the Challenge Group won silver medals in the Creative category.
Note that the International Robot Olympiad was held online this year in the Corona situation. The Olympiad is held in Daegu, South Korea.
The Bangladesh team participated in the 22nd International Robot Olympiad on 12 and 13 December 2020 from the BCS Innovation Center in the capital. The theme for this year’s International Robot Olympiad was ‘Robot: The Future Transportation’. Bangladesh has won three consecutive gold medals in the Junior Group in the Creative category at the International Robot Olympiad. On the other hand, Bangladesh has won the gold medal in the challenge group for the first time.
