250 Bedded General Hospital Khulna (GHK)

Established in 1938, the 250 Bedded General Hospital Khulna, also known as Sadar Hospital, is a key medical institution in southern Bangladesh. Located near Khulna Zilla Stadium, by the Vairab River, it is one of the oldest healthcare facilities in the region. Originally called Sadar Urban Dispensary, it transitioned into a modern hospital over the years.

In its early days, GHK started with just 50 beds and limited infrastructure. Despite these challenges, it began offering primary healthcare services. Over time, additional facilities, including pathology, radiology, and emergency services, were introduced.

GHK aims to provide healthcare to the local community, focusing on common diseases and health issues. The hospital serves both the urban population of Khulna and nearby rural areas.
