Khulna is the southernmost division of Bangladesh. The coastal region is said to have a slightly higher temperature in Khulna than other divisions. Despite the high temperature, Khulna is not lagging behind in any natural way. Personally, I will keep Khulna at the top in terms of food and chess. All over Khulna, there are tongue-watering foods that look like regular food, but once in the mouth, their taste cannot be forgotten. The people of Khulna are very fond of food.

Even in simple recipes they use ingredients that make the dishes full of unique flavors. I call Khulna the city of Kachchi Birani and Chuijhal. There are some restaurants in Khulna that look very simple from the outside, but if you want to eat one day at noon, you have to call in advance. And let’s not exaggerate, let’s see where the fun foods are.
Kamrul’s cows and Khasi at Zero Point
Those who are not residents of Khulna, have come to visit Khulna for a few days. The first hotel they will hear from relatives or friends within a few hours of coming to Khulna is Kamrul Hotel at Zero Point. Zero point will be a little further from Khulna University. If you ask anyone there, they will show you which way the hotel is.
Kamrul’s Chuijhal cow and khasi tradition is so popular that nearby shops are buzzing with people standing in front of Kamrul at noon. Rice will be mixed with cow or goat here. It will cost one hundred to one hundred and ten rupees to eat at one time.
Bejerdanga Muslim cows and Khasi
The debate over whether Bejerdanga Muslim Hotel is the best or Kamrul of Zero Point is now raging among every food lover in Khulna. It has been a year and a half or two since the Muslim hotel in Bejerdanga was opened.
Mustard-Khasi of the ‘Mejban Bari’
On the way to Khulna University from Zero Point, you will find a small restaurant on the right hand side, called Mezban Bari. The next target for those who have finished eating in Kamrul is Khasi meat cooked in the mustard oil of the host house. This restaurant with a total of four tables is full of food lovers. The most beautiful is the way the host serves the food. Rice, pulses and mustard khasi will be served in beautiful polished earthenware pots. Khasi or cow, a cold drink and endless pulses come with a package that can take rice as many times as you like. The total cost will be 180 Taka.
Kacchi biryani in the ‘Kacchi Ghar’
Kachchi Ghar is the name of a restaurant that has kept the tradition of Kachchi Biryani in Khulna alive for a long time. Located at the corner of Royal, the interior of this restaurant is very well decorated. If you have a hobby of eating kachchi with your family, you can go to kachchi house. Extra attractions with chutney, borhani and boiled eggs are very nice and carefully cooked khasir raw biryani. And they will serve this borhani for free. For those who have doubts about the quality of the free items, they can order soft drinks. In all, it will cost 180 to 200 taka per person.
Mega Kacchi biryani
If you take a rickshaw from Khulna’s new road and go a little further, you will find Khulna’s famous Kachchi Astana “Mega Biryani House” on the left hand side. Modern food connoisseurs want a good environment with good food. From there, the interior of Mega Biryani is small but beautiful. The amount of raw biryani here is a lot for one. There are spicy potatoes, chutney and eggs in Kachchi. The borhanita here is also quite good. Mega Biryani House once had the tradition of making the best kachchi in the areas next to Khulna Stadium. It is still proud to retain the quality of Kachchi. The price of Kachchi here is 130 taka.
Rajasthani Khasi of ‘Rajkachuri’
Rajasthani Khasi from Daulatpur, Khulna. The taste of khasi meat/mutton can be found in Rajkachuri a little different from ordinary khasir meat. This Rajasthani Khasi meat served with carrot-polao will make anyone’s mouth water even if they are not foodie.
Whole garlic with khasi broth is also used here. However, the only problem with this food is that they give a little less polaota.
Roast khichuri-liver-chicken in ‘Bash Bagan’
Many eat cow-khasi, now let’s come to khichuri, the favorite food of the Bengalis on a rainy day. However, there are always special places where you can get the best taste. Such a restaurant is a bamboo garden/Bash Bagan.
There is nothing to be afraid of seeing the name of bamboo-garden/Bash Bagan, you will become a fan of it if you try the items of khichuri-kalija and chicken roast that are available here. In Sonadanga Majid Sarani, just in front of Gazi Medical, you will find a bamboo-garden restaurant.
Hanif Kakar Bharta Hotel
Hanif Kakar Bharta Hotel is at the corner of Khulna’s new road for those who like to eat rice for breakfast or like to try something new. This hotel has only two large tables, the seating is made of bricks. This Hanif Kakar Bharta Hotel is a small fenced house next to the railway line. You can start the morning with about 20 types of mash and rice in a slightly different way.
No matter the condition of the hotel, there is no way to question the quality of admission. If you go in the morning, your aunt will make shrimp, potato, papaya, kalizira, pulses and fifteen other kinds of stuffing in front of you.
Yogurt-fuchka from Newmarket
There is a lot of heavy food and chess, now let’s come to where we can have breakfast. In the afternoon, you will find Khulna’s New Market as your breakfast food. There are many shops in the vicinity, including street food. But if you want to try a little healthier and funnier food, if you go to the left side of Gate No. 1 of New Market, you can see a person selling Delhi’s lassi, yoghurt and other strange food in a village bike. He sells a total of four foods, the best of which is Yogurt Fuchka. Fuchka gives a lot of yoghurt.
Dakbangla Almond-Tea
At the Dakbangla ferry terminal, right next to the bus stand, there are fences next to the cloth shops and old wooden benches are arranged in the shops selling almonds and tea. A sip of this tea, which is full of a lot of nuts, shows the quality of nuts. The price of each cup of tea is 10 rupees.
Bhai-Bhai tea
Another famous tea is found at the Bhai-Bhai tea stall just behind Newmarket. If you sit on a chair or a tool on the side of the road and sit in a big mug and taste the milk and tea, you will understand that the tea is very different from ordinary tea. The price of the milk tea is 20 tk.
