Dhaka Trade Fair 2021
The Ministry of Commerce and the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), the organizers of the Dhaka trade fair, are still in a dilemma over setting a date for the country’s largest exhibition of consumer goods. Earlier, the ministry had fixed March 17 as the date and sent it to the Prime Minister’s Office for clearance. But again a new proposal has been sent from the commerce ministry to fix March 14 as new date because March 17 was Bangabandhu’s birthday and National Children’s Day.
It is found that the 26th Dhaka International Trade Fair-2021, a joint venture of the Ministry of Commerce and Export Development Bureau EPB, will be held at the newly constructed Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center (BCFEC) in Purbachal from March 14.
The area of permanent infrastructure of the trade fair in Purbachal is 20 acres. Agargaon had 30 acres. This infrastructure will not accommodate more than 200 to 250 stalls. On the other hand, there were 400 to 500 stalls and pavilions in Agargaon.
